Dorothy Robinson's Family History
For your convenience will only be presenting below the portions of Dorothy Robinson's family history book that deals with the birth of Dorothy Robinson.

Dorothy Robinson's mother was Charlsie Gilbert. Charlsie mother and father's names were Izora Gilbert and James Gilbert. Dorothy's mother Charlsie was a cook, and Charlsie mother was a third grade school teacher, and her husband James Gilbert was a farmer. Dorothy love of reading came from her Grandmother's love of reading books to Dorothy as a child. Dorothy learned to love reading books and News Papers. The stories took her mind to places far beyond life on her Grandparent's farm in Alabama. Dorothy imagined what the lives of the people in the stories that she read in books and news papers were like beyond the stories. This was the start of Dorothy's ability to write wonderful plays and poetry as an adult. Dorothy's characters in her plays and poetry books were like real people with color and depth. This was the reason groups, organizations, and public school systems booked tickets and fundraisers to her theatrical productions starting back in 1975.
